I simply can not figure out how to use the resupply ships. [:@] Once I figured out that the ship needs to be deployed at gas giants or gas clouds, the fleets that need fuel bypass it. Now I figured out that fission reactors need calzone gas, I searched for a gas giant with calzone gas, deploy it yet the fleet just sits around the resupply ship and not receiving fuel. What am I doing wrong?

Once the resupply ship is Deployed on a Gas Giant with the right fuel source, you then need to select the fleet and tell them to refuel at the nearest point (if they are near the resupply ship), or select them and right click on the resupply ship and tell them to refuel there. Also, make sure you are running 1.0.3 as previous versions had some resupply ship bugs.

Starfry once you can start building bigger ships with size at least 850, refueling is not even an issue anymore. Stack on about 500-800 fuel storage, and always put energy collectors on your designs. I never need re-fuelers once I did this.

Manage your fleets yourself, (even easier with patch 1.03) and make sure there are enough non fleet escorts and frigates to manage the pirate attacks and natural space threats.
