FM WarB -> OOB viewing and manipulation (4/16/2010 5:26:45 PM)

How are oobs viewed in game? Can attachments/detachments be done from an oob view screen?

Can overal distribution of forces (ie. # of Panzer divs or enginner units per Army group or army) be easily seen?

Hard Sarge -> RE: OOB viewing and manipulation (4/16/2010 6:32:36 PM)

I in the middle of the AI turn, so will get a better snap shot when my turn comes up, but here is the OOB screen, lists each HQ, click on the plus, and it opens up the HQ command list, you can click from here to go to a unit on the map

also, there is the commanders report, which lets you list each unit, either over all, or by type

okay is the OOB screen, with one of the HQ opened up and the units it controls, under the sub HQs (Corps, or Armies)

here is the Command Docs

lots and lots of info here just depends on what you are looking for

I got the filters on, to turn off everything but ARMOR units, at the top a number of the columns can be sorted

FM WarB -> RE: OOB viewing and manipulation (4/16/2010 8:24:13 PM)

Thanks for the screenies, Sarge. It seems the game will have all the oob mangement tools I'd like.

Helpless -> RE: OOB viewing and manipulation (4/16/2010 8:41:30 PM)

Keep in mind its all still in development, especially Commander's Reports.

Hard Sarge -> RE: OOB viewing and manipulation (4/16/2010 9:16:03 PM)

and Pav is adding more and more goodies all the time

Lützow -> RE: OOB viewing and manipulation (4/16/2010 9:57:46 PM)

HS,

one more question: how many units altogether you have to command?

wmcalpine -> RE: OOB viewing and manipulation (4/16/2010 10:14:50 PM)

HS,

When you view the top level OOB that shows the total number of men, avfs, aircraft, and artillery. Is it possible to get a summary of the type of equipment that is in the OOB. For example, in the OOB for the Soviet Union, it shows 2126 avfs, 2048 of the 2126 are shown as ready (I think that is what the parenthesis mean). Can you get information on what type and numbers of different avfs make up the 2126? Would that be HARD to implement?

Bill

ah, all of them

:)

really, not sure how you mean that, you got a ton of units and types, some are under AI only contol (which, in the long run, is the way it should be)

but, pretty much from the combat side, you can control just about the entire Ge or Su Army

to get true numbers the way you ask, would be notebook and pen time, but, in the production screen, it tells you how many units are using that "item"

so, if looking for the BT-7, and see that 10 units are using them, you could nail it down a little closer

on map, you will also be able to do a mouse over and see what is in the unit/units, so, if a one unit has the Maltida, you would be able to find by the icon

aircraft units have listing of what type it is flying, don't think I have looked for AFVs the same way, when i go back in, I will double check

If you click on it, it will list all the units using it with all totals on the top.

sorry, had to slip off to bed, before posting the rest of this, as Pav says, in the production screen, it will show you the number of units using that "device", click on that number and it will take you to a screen showing you more details

Hard Sarge -> RE: OOB viewing and manipulation (4/17/2010 3:32:01 PM)

for the Mk IVc, I click on the number under builds and it takes me to this screen

Hard Sarge -> RE: OOB viewing and manipulation (4/17/2010 3:32:57 PM)

then do a mouse over the Divs, and it shows what is in that Div for this type

Really nice screenshots.

Though I never knew that Slovakia used a Japanese tank (Type 98 Ke-Ni)

wodin -> RE: OOB viewing and manipulation (4/18/2010 1:23:40 AM)
