Phenix -> Counters, Nato Symbols? (4/21/2010 3:04:22 PM)

Hi i read in the other thread that only counters would be used for WItE, which is fine by me but...i dont play with counters so often so i dont know what all the NATO symbols if refering to.

Is there a chance that an explanation for the different symbols is included in the manual?

I'll post that in the tester area.

I think this one is even better:

You can also download them as TrueType fonts:

The symbol you guy's are using for motorized infantry are not shown on any of those web sites. On chits they were denoted by little wheels under an infantry X'd box.

It's the difference between WW2-era and Modern era symbols.

Blimey hope this doesn't degrade like the last counter debate.

You soon get used to them....a pop up would be good idea though stating what the unit is i.e Mech Infantry followed by the name of the unit. I know there is a pop up or something to show what the unit consists of not sure if it says what type it is though.

Hopefully the accompanying text will explain enough of what the NATO symbols mean.

A Mech/Panzer Grenadier unit...

An infantry unit...

A motorized infantry unit...

A tank/armored/panzer unit...
[image]http://i286.photobucket.com/albums/ll110/dlazov/WitE%20-%201943/WitE-525.jpg[/image]

There are more types, but it's pretty self explanatory due to the text in various places, most notably the name on the right panel when selected.
