Joram -> Exploration Question and Ship Design Question (5/6/2010 1:25:23 AM)

I could have sworn the ship designer was supposed to stack components. Or was that a suggestion that didn't make it in?

Second question, or more a comment, I see that automated explorers still need work. I built three in addition to my starting and set them on auto and they all zoomed to the same small barren asteroid. Then all three zoomed again to the same star system....

Automated Exploring, Explor the nearest unkown thing. Robot pilots arn't clever.

Build them at differnt places, or manuel send them at first at different sectors before you automate them.

It's on our to-do list.

Keep watching, they should separate. When they go to the same star system, they should explore different parts of it to speed up the system exploration. If that's not happening, let us know.

In 1.0.4.4 at least, that's how they behaved. After building two at the same spaceport, they both went to the same planet to start with, but after that, they separated and each scanned a different part of the system, then they moved on and scanned the next system together. At the end, when all systems had been scanned, they were all clustered together around one point in the clouds. :)

After a couple jumps, they did finally separate.
