Ronald Wendt -> Forgotten Battles (5/21/2010 7:43:50 PM)

Hello,

in this thread i will post new scenarios from time to time. Some are about not very popular battles, some simply were started but did not make it in any version so far.

They are all not as heavily tested like the ones that come along with the game and the upgrade so there might be some glitches - if you find some let me know.

I will start with the conquest of Latvia by the Germans in June 1941.

The scenarios have to be renamed from XXX.txt to XXX.scn as the forum does only accept .txt attachments. XXX = name of the scenario.

This one should be called "Germany - Riga 1941.scn" and has to be placed in data/scenarios to be found by OB.

Hello Ronald, thank you for this idea. Will this scenario work with pre-patched version of OBTSFR (ver. 1.14)? I still didn’t made upgrade to 1.20 patch.

Ronald Wendt -> RE: Forgotten Battles (5/23/2010 7:13:13 AM)

Hello,

this scenario uses features of version 1.20 so it should not run with older versions. So when you played through the stuff of the original version you now got a reason for the free update. [;)]

vsadek -> RE: Forgotten Battles (5/24/2010 5:58:41 PM)

Yes, you are right. I will finally do so. [:)]

Ronald Wendt -> RE: Forgotten Battles (9/1/2010 2:10:47 PM)

Hello,

its time for a new forgotten battle. In this one you will lead the Romanian forces during the siege of Odessa in 1941.

Now i used Stepload for hosting the scenarios so there is no renaming and the like anymore:

Odessa 1941:

http://www.stepload.de/downloads/IN_SbBIF--ZBgFP4QxYmDIfniFog4M8FkbdfHZcBa/romania+-+odessa+1941.scn

Riga 1941:

Have fun.

Here is the initial front at the beginning of the siege:

Ooooh more scenarios cool...[:)]
Thank you Ronald Wendt!!!

ComradeP -> RE: Forgotten Battles (9/7/2010 8:38:28 PM)

I missed this for over a week, sigh. Thanks for the continued support of the game!

I'm eagerly anticipating the fan-made African mod, although it seems the design forum went down for that, temporarily I hope.

vsadek -> RE: Forgotten Battles (9/13/2010 7:42:45 PM)

I've tried to download scenarios from Stepload but it seems their server has some problems at the moment. Does anybody else have experienced this problem? Hopefully, it's just temporarily not available so I will try later again.

Yep..it's down.

2 scenarios are in the attachment...Germany-Riga & Romania Odessa.

That should be both Vsadek.
Don't know what you have....so put both.

Ronald Wendt -> RE: Forgotten Battles (10/30/2010 7:57:13 AM)

In early November 1943 the German troops on the Eastern Front were in deep trouble. The fall of Kiev and crossing of
the Dnieper in the area of the Pripiat swamps by the Red Army threatened to destroy the link between the
Army Groups Center and South.

To end the crises the 4th Panzer Army commanded by Erhard Rauss was ordered
to counter the Soviet attack.

With the arrival of the refreshed 48th Panzer Corps there seems to be a chance now to turn the tide.

This is the prelude of the new scenario:

Germany - Zhitomir 1943

Ronald Wendt -> RE: Forgotten Battles (10/30/2010 7:59:06 AM)

Can the elite 48th Panzer Corps fullfill the expectations ?

Hello,

next Saturday i will release a new scenario for the Russians. Stay with us. [;)]

Ronald Wendt -> RE: Forgotten Battles (12/11/2010 6:20:28 AM)

In Spring 1944 the Red Army is advancing on every front. But now in August 1944 there is still no major breackthrough in the South and the Germans have a considerable force on the South.
In the Kishinev Operation they plan to cross the Dniester River and destroy the South Ukraine Army Group. All is set up for the final chapter on the Balkans.

Cast the Axis out of the Balkans:

Russia - Kishinev 1944

Russian forces starting to cross the Dniester:

Ronald Wendt -> RE: Forgotten Battles (2/4/2011 11:29:09 AM)

Autum 1941, Northern Russia: Units of the 39th Panzer Corps and the 28th Army Corps have crossed the Volkhov River and pushed back 4th Soviet Army and parts of the 52nd Soviet Army. Despite the lack of sufficient supply the German Units are ordered to attack and conquer the city of Tikhvin. The Oberkommando hopes to link up with the Finns, but the flanks of the German front become more and more exposed.

Fight against the weather, your supply and even the Russians to get to Tikhvin:

Germany - Tikhvin 1941
