It's strange that sometimes map scrolling speed varies a lot at a specific zoom level. This is completely indeterministic: I have not opened or closed other applications, but just run the game and the exit the game and restart the game. Often the scroll speed is slow, but sometimes it's fast. If I notice the scrolling speed is slow I have to exit the game and restart the application from Windows. This is frustrating because it takes a minute or so restart and sometimes I need to restart 3-4 times before speed is good.
I want to point out the everyhting is constant: I set zoom level to a specific (the smallest NATO symbols), and free memory is not changed. So it doesn't depend on the environment or settings.
Btw, the zoom to smallest NATO symbols is not deterministic, either. There are actually two "smallest" levels: A normal and even smaller which can be got accidentally by scrolling in and out. After computer turn "smaller" zoom is initialized back to normal smallest level.
