I don't have a real concern about being green because I am convinced that most of this hype is just the newest craze, but I am a miser and cheapskate so I conserve when I can. I don't worry about my computer power usage because if I weren't glued to my monitor I would be watching TV. I also let my home reach 82 degrees in the summer before the AC kicks on. I also live in KY and we love our coal so my utility rates are some of the cheapest in the nation.

I [&o] to the master of waste..I shall endeavor to do better from now on.......

but in my defense: My caddy gets worst mileage than yours AND diesel is probably more toxic than regular old gas.

All those snooty leftist 'tards don't realize that their silly Prius hybrid electric drive actually supports coal fired electricical power plants. IF they really cared about anything but themselves, they'd walk or ride a bike.

Oops, I think I just crossed 'the line'...even if it was a bit tongue in cheek.

Oh well, "In before the lock" and "1st".

As long as you prompted a possible lock I may as well add

The most inconvenient thing about "An Inconvenient Truth" was that it wasn't the truth. [X(]

06 Maestro -> RE: Do you know how much it costs a year to run your computer(s)? (10/1/2010 8:35:21 PM)

I turn my computers off at night-I don't want to be responsible for sinking the Maldives.[8|]

Arinvald, I also love that Kentucky coal. Keep it burning. 82 degrees? I am such a hot natured person a temperature that high would kill me(a delightful thought since I "have a low level of intelligence...).

Ah yes Mr A. Lurker. I love the bow down. Feel free to give in to me, or praise me, at any time. If you do then maybe I will develop past my "second grade behavior level". to quote a very famous schlemiel.

Jeffrey H, that is a point the enviro-nazis don't get-that coal will be burned to make those stupid cars. HAHAHA

Yogi, I think it went beyond not being the truth. That book showed Gore had "A VERY LOW LEVEL OF INTELLIGENCE.." and I doubt he developed past "..second grade behavior.."

AND

06 Maestro, if the Maldives sink, which I hope they do by the way, that would be good. Then the world would have fewer people to take away America's wealth.

Whew, those responses took a lot out of a man who "displays a very low level of intelligence...and...the logical side of (MY)brain never developed past a 2nd grade level?" and whose font sizes are annoying.

Hmmm..maybe its time for me to buy a Prius and convert it to a gas-guzzling clunker....oh heck, forget that..let's get me a Trabant and go park it and leave it running near some eco-hippies

Did you know that my wonderful bus drinks 7 gallons of diesel fuel a day? And it spews out all those wonderful carcinogens into the atmosphere? I'm doing my part to delete the ozone......

Lützow -> RE: Do you know how much it costs a year to run your computer(s)? (10/2/2010 12:35:38 AM)

I don't believe in the climatic hype as well.

But then again, there is common sense and I don't see a reason to not shut down my pc overnight. Saves money and durability of power supply.

parusski -> RE: Do you know how much it costs a year to run your computer(s)? (10/3/2010 9:14:11 AM)

Lurker, you frightened me for a moment. PRIUS? Just as well say PEEUS. Not sure why I think that was funny. Nope, again my humour fails, my wife just looked over my shoulder and said PEEUS was dumb. But then so is the Prius.

I keep wondering where the guys with the flame-throwers are. I should have received several deadly personal attacks by now. Since I have a "...very low level of intelligence..", and I am engaging in "..second grade..." behavior with you, well, I just feel a thread is not complete until someone gets angry over NOTHING.

My wife and I own several hundred acres of land and a lot of it must be sprayed with "environmentally" safe juice each year. After reading your attempts(LAME ONES) to one up me, I did not use the usual safe stuff. Nope, this morning I bought 5,000 gallons of gasoline and some dude sprayed the weeds and trees and deer to rid them of my land. I love the smell of napalm in the morning. DDT too, when I can find it. I spray it everywhere.

Lützow, that logical German way of thinking misses the point. We want to be wasteful. We Americans are destroying the planet. Lurker and I are just doing a lot more to hasten the end.

My last thought though is-did man cause the hundreds of previous ice-ages and global warming periods? Hell, there must have been humans alive for billions of years, I mean who else could cause all the previous life ending events. AH, no one ever engages me with that idea.

Gotta go-Decisive Victory is waiting, even if my Panzer divisions do not get the experience level increase I think I deserve. I AM OUT OF BAIT FOR NOW.

I can't believe it, no lock yet?

Shamelessly shooting for the last message.
