I'm playing as IJ against Allied AI, I noticed upon landing in the Philippines that certain US units seem to have the ability to reposition themselves overnight - without seeming to adhere to the normal game movement costs, (see screen-shot below). No is short answer But you can move units in rest mode its slow...but it can be done so maybe they were just moving between the bases
