Look..... to be honest your question is absurd. You are arguing with what I have as a personal preference. I have played a LOT of computer wargames and find the hex size in these games as being 'tiny'. If you are happy with it, fine, but trying to tell others that they don't know what they like... is absurd. Really, the hex size in the original People's Tactics was about the same as the primary hex size that I use in TOAW, and IMO that is about right. But, when People's Tactics got turned into Advanced Tactics: WW2, they increased the hex size and now maybe only half the number of hexes in the display so, the opposite problem there compared to the games here. More really.... TOAW has FOUR (count em) hex size displays all of which can be used to play the game. Of course, TOAW has OTHER SERIOUS problems with the consensus being that they will never get fixed. But, with the Alt key in the games here, the tiny hex size is not as big a deal as it might be. I was just surprised that the guys at SSG never turned it into an alternate display for the entire map display instead of just the magnifying glass area. The bigger problem is I do not have time right now for larger scenarios, so with the newer games essentially being just one large scenario, kinda not my cup of tea right now. I will admit here that, the game systems in these games are kinda nice. You got the information on the right and then there is the hex display information, etc, etc. Hopefully I will get time to indeed try the Ardennes offensive game as well as Veliki Luki and the rest of the Husky scenarios that I have now.
