Tarawa565 -> User made scenarios/battlesets (6/9/2010 2:05:39 AM)

Hello, I recently purchased HCE but cannot for the life of me figure out where to put the downloadable scenarios. Any input on this?
Thanks,
David

It doesn't much matter, but you can, for organizational reasons, create and use a directory called "Scenarios" (or some such). Each battleset will only call up the compatible scenarios when you load them.

More about the relationship between the scenario filenames and battlesets can be found here: HarpGamer FAQ: Understanding HC/HCE File Names.

Okay, thank you[:)]. I apologize for my ignorance, but some scenarios are posted for download on the Harpgamer site but there is no HCE subforum for the downloads. What are they under there?
Thanks again,
David

No apologies necessary. You can find the Downloads section here.

It also helps to know that HCE started out at HCCE (Harpoon Classic: Commander's Edition) but someone got the bright idea to lose the Classic and confuse legions of players. So you look in the Harpoon Classic sub-section of the downloads for HCE scenarios and such.

Okay, thanks. That clarifies things alot.
Thanks,
David
