Rising Sun is now complete waiting for next patch before release.

This is a historical modification of the Pacific War scenario.

All the graphic pictures have been updated.

All ships have been moved to orginal time of entry into the Pacific and location where possible.

Many ships deleted that were never in the Pacific.
Many ships have been added. ~100 events
Ships have been updated according to strength based upon Main guns.
Carriers have been updated to match number of planes carried.
Carrier escorts and sea tenders are added.
Added Light Crusiers
Corrected OOB of Pacific Campaign

Rising Sun Events include:

the refloating of Chinese Crusiers and the possibility to bring the WWI ships out of Mothballs.
Added Japanese ships under construction that were never completed in the war due to lack of materials. If you are a good Admiral you will have the PP to complete those ships.

This is very event intensive in order to match history.
For PBEM, a person can by tell the other player that you want to comission ships for PP.
This way you don't have to keep sending back and forth.
If there is a time in the game were you are unsure of spending the PP, you can tell the other player you want to choose the event.

Partisans may be decreased or increased in a future version.

Any ships brought to my attention will be added if source is verified.

A similation of Japanese subs with aircraft ability may be possible per Mikedubost. Will research this.

A consoldation of events may be considered for PBEM version.


EDIT:

Detection has been decreased so you will have to reconoiter more often. You do not always see the enemy even after scouting.
Search has to be successful.
Philippines has been strengthened alot. Should be able to last till March either against the AI or human.
China has been beefed up for defense.
San Diego is now in game.
Supply and flying of aircraft has been fixed for alot of cities.

I'll keep an eye on this.  The game is great but would really want more historical flavor like PacWar and WITP.

Razz, remember that when you are adding a ship by event, you can also adjust it's initial strength by adding param with the strength value at the end of the line

This looks to be promising, I have started to do the same but only scratched the surface of what you have accomplished.

I am however looking into a counter mod, and possibly a map mod. Japanese themed.

Do you plan to mod the counters as well?

No counters. Checking airstrike and Pearl Harbor balance now.

The graphic pictures are up and they really enhance the game, especially when zoomed out. The pictures work with all the scenarios.

We can host all mods, gfx packs etc at our forum, however somebody have to ask us about that (according to the IP law).

Here we can see the value of the picture graphics from the Rising Sun when zoomed out.

Note: my ally from Australia is under seige at Port Darwin.

We have two level 3 Infantry divisions that have upgraded to heavy macine guns

For Support the AI has sent a level 4 Infantry division Armed with Motors to shell the city of Darwin.

Generally, one will see a black and white photo for Divisions and a Colored Photograph for a Corps size.

Most of the aircraft are color photos and are identified.

Here we see a tactical bomber, the CA-12 Boomerang which was used for close ground support during the war.

Some of you may remember them as Smokey Joes.

All pictures are actual photos of those applicable countires with some exceptions made for lend-lease and shared equipment.

When a counties photograh can not be found the nearest substitute is in it's place from an Ally.

Well I have been waiting for a bug patch.

Since then, I have updated the Rising Sun to be even greater in Single Player.

She is ready for PBEM at this time

Harder to find time now.

Fixed two event errors. Converted to 1.03 and testing single player now. Fixed two more bugs, comander (CTD) and Buhtan (fixed deployment).

So far its works very well in 1.02 for PBEM

For 1.03 the loading of ships has been changed and it effects game balance severely. Bombardment works better and strategic bomber can be re-deployed.
AI reinforcement has also been changed so that effects how the AI moves and plays, plus ships can now repair.

We can always enhance it later. Main thing is to make sure single player does not CTD

Ok, will release today or tomorrow.

Tested fully and good to go!

There are 3 files that need to be down loaded.
