Hoplosternum -> Can't reinstall - An Unnamed file not found (6/20/2010 9:27:34 PM) [:(] I have been trying to play the game as usual this weekend but kept getting an Error:999 when I tried to start the game. Whether I used the quick start or the main start. So I decided to uninstall and then reinstall WITP:AE But after I have added the serial number and it starts to load I get an "IRSETUP - an unnamed file cannot be found" and the install aborts. I have tried to use both my CD and my digital download and both give this error. So I cannot now install the game [:(] Anyone know what might be wrong? I have swept my computer with a full virus scan (CA - paid for and registered) and for Spyware (Lavasoft - free version & Cookiewall). But nothing found.

jwilkerson -> RE: Can't reinstall - An Unnamed file not found (6/21/2010 12:31:08 AM) Looks possible that the uninstall process did not complete 100% and some remnants of the prior install may still be present and inhibiting the new install. Proceed to the official support section of the Matrix forums and see if they can help - click on the SUPPORT link on the upper right corner of any forum page.

Sardaukar -> RE: Can't reinstall - An Unnamed file not found (6/21/2010 10:29:13 AM) You can first also check if you still have files from previous install in your AE folder (or if there is still AE folder) and try to see if deleting those helps. Might also want to try registry cleaner program etc., but those can be bit risky.
