TimeTanker -> Got it... (8/3/2002 9:59:04 AM)

Back in a flash with the return.......

What no Zoomies!:rolleyes:

Supervisor -> (8/3/2002 10:03:05 AM)

TimeTanker -> Mailbox cleared... (8/3/2002 11:04:47 AM)

Purchased & Deployed.

Back to you.

Some of our troops say that we are coming into one of their favorite times of the year. Snow on the ground, Scnapps in the flask, a pretty Fraulein snuggled up close in your Track....er truck along with your trusty Schauzer "Rommel" (with only three legs because Seargent Heltzer ran over him while on maneuvers in Bavaria) joyfully sniffing the air, and last but not least American Pretty Boys to hunt.

As your cousins the Boring Brits would say. "Talley Ho! old Chip...er Chump...."

You know? They say Tiger Drivers get all the women they want. I'll bet you Yankees wish you had a Tiger between your legs!!

Supervisor -> (8/3/2002 10:46:43 PM)

Deployed, prebombardment, turn 1 completed. Nothing much to report here, the only casualty is 1 by you on my prebombardment when a building collasped. Alot different than our last encounter at least we can move in this one.

TimeTanker -> On the way... (8/4/2002 1:25:09 AM)

Wierd that the Northern European Armies didn't think of putting skids in the place of Wheels on their HT's. It would have been the first example of a giant military SkiDoo.

Which would be very useful considering the terrain.

So much for German Ingenuity. You would have thought we would have remembered that part of our master plan was to build "Recreational Redundancy" into the military contractors. But, nooooo you'd think that all they had on their minds was winning a war!

HA HA!! You should see Rommel. He finished off his doggie bowl of shnapps and now he wants to drive! Down boy! Get Down Now or when we get to Paris....No Poodles for YOu!

Just movement. I can see your recon units and they took a couple of long range OpFire Shots. But, all that did was make the Fraulein giggle and twitter something about Pretty Pretty Fireworks.....

I think I am beginning to understand why bringing your family on a war is a real exercise in frustration.

Back to the sneak and shoot, wait there is no place to hide in this battle. Looks like I'll just have to go underground. Start digging boys

Supervisor -> (8/4/2002 6:23:45 AM)

Nothing much to report, alot of long range encounters. forces are starting to meet in the middle it should be no time now before this party really starts to kick in.

TimeTanker -> All Hail the 88... (8/4/2002 10:05:56 AM)

I was reading this thread from someone that I can't remember the name of this morning and he was mightily upset with the venerable Tiger Tank. Seems that he was getting nailed and didn't seem to have enough shots available.

In the Scenario section of the game there is a tutorial about how to utilize the Tiger. I think someone also makes the same point later in that thread, that if you play to the strength of the Tiger which is somewhat of a Stand Off weapon. Then it will perform well.

Which is what just happened with an M34 105 and a Sherman.

Yes, you are right the two Sumo Wrestlers are about to meet in the center of the ring with a resounding crash.

Supervisor -> A clash of the armor (8/4/2002 10:58:06 AM)

As the sumo's face off in the middle of the ring, shoots are traded, names are called, someone was mooned and a spectator sticks out his tongue. Blood is finally drawn when the mother joke was introduced into the mix, as I got one of you puddy cats and another tank(don't remember which). The ref drops a flag and both combatents return to neutral corners awaiting the next round.

TimeTanker -> Back out in Center Ring... (8/4/2002 12:06:15 PM)

Breath fresh after a gulp of melted snow the Sumo's ample paunches crash with a sound that drives the Ladies from the front rows. The sweat and blood spatter was just too much for them.

Got a number of HT's and one of your M10's. It is almost hand to hand in the south between the Engineer Squads and the Ski Patrol. I think what bothers the Ski Doodes the most is those engineers strange habit of drying out the snow with their Flame Throwers so that they can have dry ground to walk on.

The center ring is going to get really littered here in the next round or two with body parts.

Supervisor -> Clash of the Titans (8/4/2002 11:53:47 PM)

One for the ages, shootout at the OK Coral. A Tiger and Sherman faced off at 10 paces. Tiger gets off first shoot as the Shreman stumbled into it's path, near miss a glancing shoot, Sherman fires back direct hit, no damage(must have hit his belt buckle), Tiger fires back near miss again, I saw the puddy cat sneeze just as the shot went off(the cold weather is getting to it), Sherman down to it's last large bore shot fires back direct hit(damaged) crews bails, gunners open up on the stunned crew 1 casualty. A moral victory for the Sherman as they know that puddy cat has lost its claws and won't cause trouble around here anymore. Several foot soldier squirmishes resulting in deaths on both sides. A draw for the foot soldiers. Got a HT also that was being annoying.

TimeTanker -> Slow Going (8/5/2002 11:38:54 AM)

Slugging it out inch by inch with the infantry.

Getting too up close and personal with the Tigers. Need to choose shots better.

Making progress but very slowly and costly.

Oh Yeah, I'm really mad now....Rommel ran off with the fraulein and pee'd on my track on the way back to the Rhein. The only other thing that could go wrong now would be to run out of Scnapps.

Supervisor -> (8/7/2002 4:54:58 AM)

Your armor is still besting me, I'm getting killed every time I peak my head over the mountain tops. You never said I could be a pepping Tom. My hope is that my foot soldiers will still be around after the shootings done.

TimeTanker -> Just enough armor... (8/7/2002 11:12:18 AM)

to where the Tiger doesn't blow...but the crews bail.

Really back and forth in the middle.

Playing chicken in the north to see who will come over the top of that little hill first. (Well actually I did but my Ski Patrol guys were no match for satchel charges and tanks) Besides they were only trying to get your engineers back to the Ski Lodge. :p

Managed to take out another Sherman and caused a few sqauds to flee.

Other than that still anyone's game.

Supervisor -> (8/7/2002 5:41:33 PM)

A tug of war until someone makes a mistakes and loses their grip on reality:D

Supervisor -> (8/8/2002 5:18:04 AM)

Lots of things going boom in the night, people screaming, dogs running away. I think someone leaked it out that it was free beer night at the pub.

TimeTanker -> Must have been tired.. (8/9/2002 8:46:03 AM)

Ihad been hoping that your turn would come so I could play. Cause I knew that I had played after you mentioned the beers.

I must have been tired because I zipped it up and everything. But, forgot to send.

Here it is.

Like I said, there is a lot of equipment scattered all over the place and more to come.

Supervisor -> (8/10/2002 8:57:23 AM)

About the only thing left standing are those who are sleeping off their drunken from free beer night.
