Any reason to keep ACM's in the WC ports? Chances seem pretty good those mines will never come into play.

I keep them there just because it seems like what would happen historically, but I agree, that there is probably no need to.

Of course there is a reason to, they can maintain the minefields. And you need the minefields to avoid Japanese submarines to come over there to your West cost and lay mines in every one of your ports.

Of course there is a reason to, they can maintain the minefields. And you need the minefields to avoid Japanese submarines to come over there to your West cost and lay mines in every one of your ports.

Ialways tried to keep my minefields up. They are too valuable to let them erode. Even just 1 ACM can mantain a good ratio mantaining huge minefields of 300-400 mines.

ditto , careless japanese can be lured in as already stated .. also you can never lay enough minefields to use them elsewhere so why not.

There never seem to be enough mines for them though... [:(] Have been laying loads of minefields outside of SF, LA and SD until the reserves run dry but so far have only sunk a YP boat...

Besides one can get the YPs to convert into ACMs so the allies at least can maintain several large minefields over the Pacific
