I was crashing research on titan beam SR when I found the ultimate cache of knowledge of ancients starbase... it gave me full maps of hundreds of systems, tons of money, and lots of technologies. it maxed out my beam weapon tech... so now I am crashing "none". the usual workaround of opening my editor and lowering my tech level in that field to one below the latest one worked.
