Based on what people said they play as, but ignoring what they say they 'might' try next:

1st. Human 11
2nd. Zenox 4
3rd. Dhayut 3
3rd. Gizurean 3
3rd. Kiadian 3
3rd. Securan 3
4th. Mortalen 2
5th. Haakonish 1
5th. Ikkuro 1
5th. Quameno 1
5th. Shandar 1
5th. Teekan 1
5th. Random 1

This shows we really are a boring lot, the overwhelming choice being to stick with what we know and go Human [:D]

I actually try to avoid "human" races in all games when possible. Just because they are your boring, everybodyplaysthem, humans. But if there is kind of technologically advanced humanoid race (somehing similar to Kiadians in DW) I'll almost always choose them. Also, if the "human" faction in some game has highly interesting gameplay mechanics or somehing other unique to them, I might play them. Good example are the Space marines and Tau in Dawn of War series when I was still playing it some years back. Tau for high-tech stuff and Space marines 'cause... well... they are THE Space marines of the God Emperor of the mankind!

i usually dont play humans because they are the "average" race, i want my empire to be special at something

Sorry ok then, I'll put a vote in for the Sluken first and then the Kiadians as my second choice.

When the expansion comes out, I'm going to play as the Kiadians at first.
