Texashawk -> Nice to see... (8/4/2010 5:27:31 PM)

...a little activity around here again!! Finally, we're back to an entire page of posts being posted on the same day!!

I miss Sarsaffroi.(sp) :-) I hope he didn't give up on this game too early - he was one of its biggest (and most colorful!) fans!

The game has really improved leaps and bounds. I did a one-tick-higher start for the starting galaxy tech with me on basic and normal pirates in a 700 star galaxy - and in the first 10 minutes of play pirates almost wiped out my outlying holdings!! I still have 4 pirates circling me, and it's a really tense situation!! Go Eliott!

Just random thoughts from a random mind.

Steve

Good to see you here and enjoying the game!

I have been lurking the forum for some time and waiting for the 'sweet-spot' patch to be released prior to purchasing the game.

I am loving it so far.

I went through the tutorials and dove right in. I thought the AI did a fairly good job of putting my empire together, although I have controlled the recruitment of troops, diplomacy and espionage myself. I will bite off a little bit more (ship/base design) on my next go, now that I know (at least I think I know) what I am doing [:D]

I know it has been said before, but you can really immerse yourself in this game world. I have played other 4X space empire games, from the original MOO onwards, and I am extremely impressed with what the developers have accomplished with DW.

I agree, this is an immersive game!

I will also be back here more often to post my ideas and thoughts. I have started playing the game again with the new update and hope to be able to play it a couple of times a week.
