Are PCs PGs any good at escorting convoys? What are you guys using them for? they dont have the endurance to make it all the way w/o bleeding fuel from the convoy, thus slowing it down.

If your short of DD's, they're better than nothing. The biggest problem is their poor starting experience levels. Some of them are just extra targets for subs.

They also draw enemy aircraft quite nicely. I send them out in single ship TF's in masse, they work just like chaf does with radar

I can vouch for this tactic -- Point Luck is driving me crazy with those darn PCs.

Couple them with inaccurate spotting reports (FOW) and I end up chasing the wrong TF. Plus, my a/c strikes get split up and go after his multiple PC TFs vs. the nicer targets. Sure I sink them, but they waste my ammunition/bombs and add to pilot fatigue.

This is what makes me wish I had a way of prioritizing air strike targets.

It was pretty cool when a couple of them stumbled into my heavily escorted Air Combat TF :p :p
