Hi fellas - my partner and I have reached March43 in an epic 1-day/turn PBEM that is tense and anybody's game. Now we have a crash that prevents us from continuing. We both have the latest patches, etc. Version numbers match. I am the Japanese player. When I run his turn, the game repeatedly crashes at CHECKING TF FUEL. Can someone please help? This is a year and a half of our lives here. Appreciate anythign you can do. :-)

You should post a save (in this thread).

Worst case--have your allied opponent re-do his last turn. If this is a fluke, chances are it won't fluke exactly the same again......

Thanks, fellas - but whenever I try to post a save file it says, "C:/fakepath not supported". I've tried uploading directly from my AE directory, and also from my desktop. No luck. Any ideas?

BTW, we've tried the resend the last turn thing. It just keeps locking up at "CHECKING TF FUEL".

Did your opponent just resend or redo the turn? I have had times when the file was corrupted during the end process. It is very rare, but it can happen occasionally.

1. Zip the save file so that it gets a .zip suffix.
2. Check "embed picture in post"
3. Click "Click here to upload"
4. Find the zipped save file on your computer and select OK (a couple of times).

Don - thank you for your terrific help. The file is uploaded and attached. If you (or someone) can help us get past this point, both of us will wash your car or cut your dog's hair or something. [:)][&o]

The issue is to with refueling barges from their cargo.
It gets into a tight loop trying to give the cargo to the barges TF.

The issue was identified just after 1106g was released, but the chances of it happening were deemed low. [This bug has been sitting in the code for a very long time, but I guess only in the later stages of the game does it become more likely.]

Updated End of turn for Japanese with reports.
Sorry there is no replay as the fix happens during the turn rather than before it starts.
Also included the Allied player reports from my replay of the turn.

MichaelM, you are a gentleman, a scholar, and a prince. We definitely owe you one. THANK YOU! [8D]

So if I refuel barges from AO than it wont crash?

I think if the player forces the refuel, then there "shouldn't" be anything for the automatic refuel to do. And thus hopefully bypasses the loopiness.
