GaryChildress -> How do you edit the campaign map? (8/19/2010 11:34:23 AM)

How do I edit the campaign map? Is there an image file which I can open and then make some changes? Really I'd like to change the shape to something along the lines of the WaR campaign map instead of a long map from top to bottom I'd like it more along the lines of a square area.

Many thanks!

An 8 x 8 box would give your sides all the options

Use Mafi's CC2Tools v.5.02 to extract the game (Normandy.tga @1875x2500) and editor (scenarioeditorscreen.tga) versions of the strat map from Graphics/CCImages.pix

There are also the map border highlights and connection arrows to consider.

Once I get the TGA files extracted, then what do I do? What program do I use to edit those files? [&:]

EDIT: Never mind. I tried it with Paint Shop Pro and it works. [:)]

Next question. Why are the TGA files not in color when I open them in Paint Shop? They are black and white.

You might try GIMP.

Hi Mick, hi Gary,

I recommend to use RtBTool (CC4/5/WaR/TLD/LSA) for retrieving/exchanging the stratmap gadget and graphics (*.gdg & *.pix files). For editing the file Stratmap.txt use BED9 (WaR/TLD/LSA): http://www.ftf.claranet.de
For editing the graphics: use Photoshop. Please take care when it comes to saving the images: 16-bit TARGA is required.

Cordially
Mafi
