If I had one, it would be after total retirement, in Florida, with a semi-outdoor aviary. It's the African Grays I can't handle. Those bloody things scream worse than a banshee! (Either the jet or irish kind!). But you must admit that there is something neat about a bird that can call and terrify a cat! [:D] We had a moluccan cockatoo for years that had no fear of our cats whatsoever. Or our dog. The cockatoo would intentionally bait them to come close to his cage when he was outside of it. When the dog (in particular) ambled over to lick up some seeds or goodies that the bird baited it with, the bird would flare his wings, extend his crest and shriek from above. Nine times out of ten it scared the **** out of the dog. The cockatoo would also bait or 'ambush' our cats, in the same vein. Not a lot of survival instincts in that bird...
