Firstly, thank you for updating this amazing game.

Unfortunately the update feature in the launcher just downloads for a while and then declares an error in "file1".

I tried to download the July 2010 patch from:

http://www.matrixgames.com/products/351/downloads/War%20in%20the%20Pacific%20-%20Admiral's%20Edition

using both Explorer and Chrome. Explorer was unable to follow the direct link and complained of "extended file information" when I tried to Save As.

Chrome reported "This webpage is not available.
The webpage at ftp://ftp.matrixgames.com/pub/WarInThePacifc-AdmiralsEdition/WarinthePacificAdmiralsEdition-UpdateComp-v1106g.exe might be temporarily down or it may have moved permanently to a new web address."

I suspect that the problem is the ftp rather than HTML URL. Should I try an FTP client? Is the patch available anywhere else?

Hello

I can download the patch with ie 8 and firefox 3.6.8. I think the problem is not on the matrix server side.

Maybe try this link

But personally if I prefer to download patches from the developer side because of security reasons.
So I would try everything to download from matrix server. If no one can help and it is urgent than would try this Internet page.

P.S.: This page needs java :(

No luck with Safari. Perhaps a firewall on my network blocking FTP access? Anyway, thanks+++ for the link.

Sorry can`t help much...but maybe simply your security settings from the browser for ftp are too high.

Could you download via the site i posted?

Hopefully someone else can help you.
