T9 center...Hoths left needed to be secured, he struck north as Models Corp strikes east. Guderian bypasses Roslaval and presses east. 4th army levels Smolensk...Notice how I broke down divisions into regiments to concentrate power with 9thA and 3rd PzG...I also had to roll a corp from 4th army north to cover Hoths right... T9 Hoth and Model's attack...Thought I'd give you closeup of the AAR. I blassed the hole, Schmits XXXIX PzC hit first and retired to defend the right, as Hube's LVII PzC pressed the gap. Well thats a tough question our group always has to answer. It took me two weeks longer to take Smolensk than history, but I placed power elsewhere...Hum...

Jon, Loss ratios look impressive for the Germans in terms of groundforces (~ 14:1 in men, 20:1 in guns and 25:1 in tanks). Are you happy with the number of casualties on the Soviet side and your own losses? Bill

Thanks for the further posts and for answering my question earlier. What is your strategy for Leningrad? Is it to cut off the supplying ports or can you take it without doing that? I also notice that your truck losses are very high - at least I assume they are German as it says 'current player' - at about 2000 per week. How does this compare with your replacement rate and stockpile - I suppose this is about when is it going to matter? I have some related qu's about this but dare not post them on this thread [sm=sign0063.gif] :)

T12 losses...Two notes: First 2/3rds of the Soviet losses are captured, doing this lowers my losses greatly. Surround and capture.
