I play mine on a laptop with 1366x768 no problems at all.

This supports all the widescreen format I know of.

What's going on here? [&:]

I think that there might be some confusion caused by the first three preset screen sizes on the Controls & Preferences menu. Those choices are intended as a convenience for users with CRT monitors. I refer to the "1024 x 768", "1280 x 1024" and "1600 x 1200" choices on this menu.

Usually you will use the default setting "Take Settings From Display Panel" and the game will play at the setting which you had when you started it up. So, if you have your monitor set at 1366 x 768 the game will run at that size.

But some people (for whatever reason) don't run their LCD monitors at the recommended resolution all of time. They can use the "Use Highest Resolution" and that should be right.

The "Use Custom Settings" can be used if the other choices aren't suitable. To be honest, this last choice is particularly useful for development, when I want to test layout and typesetting issues at various sizes.

Anyway, if you can't get the game running at the best resolution for your monitor, please come back and tell us.
