Princessjj1 -> 3.4 NON-beta release? (9/24/2010 8:12:59 PM)

Was wondering if there's a timeframe for the official 3.4 release, as opposed to the public beta.

Bump!

Sker -> RE: 3.4 NON-beta release? (10/26/2010 12:47:56 PM)

The latest news I have about it said that the update process was completed and the patch is about to be packaged and released. How long this is going to take it's hard to tell.
Hopefully will be a matter of days... Maybe Ralph is going to give us some news, if there are any.

I'm waiting too for the official release to come: have the beta is good but have the definitive version is better

You can just put mine in a plain brown bag. I'm not picky.

BUMP--quasi-official word, anyone?

The Quasi have broken diplomatic relations with the rest of the planet and refuse comment.

Thanks for the response, powers-that-be *sarcasm off*

Sker -> RE: 3.4 NON-beta release? (11/4/2010 11:20:42 PM)

It's been a while since I last saw Ralph on the forum. Probably it's busy with the release process. We can only be patients

BigDuke66 -> RE: 3.4 NON-beta release? (11/6/2010 12:19:26 AM)

Or he's maybe busy trying to fix some things before 3.4 gets official.

Silvanski -> RE: 3.4 NON-beta release? (11/6/2010 12:33:17 AM)

Ralph did several bugfixes based on feedback from the public alpha and beta releases.

BigDuke66 -> RE: 3.4 NON-beta release? (11/6/2010 1:33:18 AM)

Yes and that will make the official 3.4 even better.
Good to see such a good patch coming as it forms a godd base for the veteran scenario designers like Stauffenberg and Brian Topp with his new "Battle for Moscow 1941-1943" scenario, I guess they all come back for a reason and that is 3.4, enough has changed and maybe even more is in the pipe.

3.4 is waiting for the second RC. We've been through one already. Unfortunately, that person is swamped right now, so I don't have a clear ETA for when he'll be able to get to it. We're not the only people waiting for packaging, and that's not the only thing he's involved it.

There's also the possibillity that there will be a show stopping bug or an illness or anynumber of other things that could delay things. 3.2 also took a long time to get out because of various factors.

If it's not out by the end of November, I'll put out the 3.4.0.201 as another alpha.

The silver lining is that we've had time to fix several bugs, including Naval units not being in supply with the new supply rules. I also added another new feature that I think is pretty cool, and I hope to get feedback on it once it's out.

[:D] At the rate you're going, when the patch comes out it will be TOAW IV. [:D]

If I hadn't been talking about it being a patch, It probably would be[8|]. There are far more hours put into this patch than any sane person would have put into a patch. I think there will be one more (much shorter) patch before TOAW IV, however.

About the new feature. I have in the past send you a email for the possibilty to edit the capabilities of the unit symbols. What you then found a good idea. Is't mayby this the new feature?

Patch 05 has just been released for WITP:AE. Woohoo! [sm=happy0065.gif]

Now we know what, among other things, the TOAW 3.4 patch has been waiting on.
