Red Devil -> Multiple air sweeps on same turn? (10/2/2010 12:44:40 AM)

I'm playing Allies against AI. I've just finished a turn where I suffered 15 separate attacks in morning phase (mostly sweeps) by about 100 planes each time. I know the AI cheats sometimes, but 1500 Nates & Oscars in Burma in July 1942 in one morning all heading for Akyab..!!
Anyone any idea whats happened? Playing latest patch by the way. Save file attached (I hope)

Seems the AI is very determined about Burma... [:D]

It really is the same block of planes each time.

What happens is that sometimes a sweep mission will sit in the hex while independent bombing raids occur. As a result they help each raid in succession.
You will notice in the report that a RECON mission (Kinah IIRC) also benefits from this situation. AND it shouldn't.

This is usually rare as Sweep missions usually are associated with a raid, but it shouldn't really happen at all (or at least once or twice only).

A save game for this turn would be more helpful to see why it happened.

Thanks

Thanks for the response Michael. I knew it shouldn't happen that way. Please see saved game attached.
