Torplexed -> A little wood paneling (10/4/2010 3:22:29 AM)

Not a mod which will improve the game much, except maybe at the fringes, but I've been tinkering with replacing the gray border around the map edge with a beveled wooden frame motif. Something to class up those off-map deployments. [:D]

I've also been experimenting with new graphics for the major RR lines.

Looks real nice and much more 'readable'. I'd use it!

I added the off map supply, fuel and oil that arrives daily at my off map ports to my maps. Found it helped in directing my task forces since my aging mind could never remember what came to each port.

Yes indeed, good work Torplexed.

Shark7 -> RE: A little wood paneling (10/5/2010 8:22:30 PM)

Now if we just had a way to edit the off map hexes, one could add a route to Axis Europe and the Monsun U-boats. [:D]

Nice map though, would seriously like to add it to my game, RIGHT NOW! But, I'll wait till you are done. [;)]

traskott -> RE: A little wood paneling (10/5/2010 10:43:32 PM)

Thanks Andrew! Needless to say I have a whole new appreciation now of the amount of work that must have gone into making this monster map from scratch. How you did it all I'll never know. [&o]

It's coming along, but lately I've become enamored of the idea of inlaying new textures for the mountain hexes as well. Maybe I should stop before I get in over my carto-graphically stunted head? Who fights in the Himalayas anyhow? [:D]

Smeulders -> RE: A little wood paneling (10/6/2010 8:55:52 AM)

I must say I love what you've done to the Himalayas, but the more isolated mountain hexes seem to clash a bit with the surrounding the hexes. Still looks very good overall though.

TOMLABEL -> RE: A little wood paneling (10/7/2010 12:52:57 AM)

Can you do one that does the ocean hexes like Andrew's mod?

cantona2 -> RE: A little wood paneling (10/7/2010 7:27:46 AM)

Is the map shown above available? I like the dots and the hexes around the land combo. I find it too difficult to plot tf routes without hexes

cantona2,

Andrew Browns World in Flames style map is here

Is this still in the works or is it already available somewhere ?

what he said, I was hoping to see this one by now.

JeffroK -> RE: A little wood paneling (12/3/2010 8:38:27 PM)

Excellent work,

Maybe outside of this thread, but could the Combat report screen be moved out of the middle, you know right where the action is, into a corner and be made about half as big. I dont give two hoots about the pretty picture, I just want the data and to be able to see where the combat was.
