its the end of turn 4 I haven't posted anything before now because other than the fighting in Poland I haven't moved any troops or produced anything but PP and supply with the UK. Only producing units in mainland France and that mostly Infantry and light tanks and armored cars. I am going a completely different strategy this time as the west compared to what I did the first Game. The reason for this is twofold. 1. I always like to do different things each game I play, this prevents my becoming predictable and I enjoy trying out different strategies. 2. Changes to the scenario require a completely different approach for my play style as the west. When playing as the west/allies in a WWII scenario my priorities are always as follows. 1. Build and maintain a strong navy, Historically this was the only advantage the UK had early in the war. 2. Defend Britain at all cost. Number 1 is the key to number 2. A strong navy prevents the Germans from doing Sea Lion. 3. everything else. Its my belief that if I can accomplish numbers 1&2 then everything else will fall into place. New changes to the scenario , mainly a raise in price for building ships and changes to carriers in that they can only carry 4 planes now to start and only certain planes which are not good enough to waste production on building at this point, have forced me to focus on producing PP so I can tech up my air-force first to see if that will allow me to build viable naval planes. This will also allow me to make land based planes that I can use to defend against the axis navy both in the Atlantic and the Mediterranean. So for now my carriers are in reserve until I can equip them properly and I will focus my defensive efforts on the Battle fleet and land based aircraft. (except for France) This also means I will produce no tech-I aircraft at all since I know I will have tech-II soon. This will severely limit the size of my air force but it will be of higher quality. in the first game I raised my war-footing slowly and built units as I went. My focus now is to build nothing in the UK until my war-footing has been raised. Higher war footing = more production = more PP built per turn = higher war footing faster. England's War-footing starts at 60% and its now at 66%, France starts at 30% and its now at 33%. War footing also effects the combat efficiency of your military, so its important that I raise Frances also. So except for France my economy is 100% supply and PP. it cost me 150PP per turn to raise France and England's war-footing 3% each. we will see how this goes. a look at my production. [image]local://upfiles/30814/3483B5095A19489E9916554E7F7303E0.jpg[/image] notice i am only making around 140PP per turn but as I raise my War-footing that will increase every turn by 3% until I am making more than 140PP per turn.
