How do you lock center something again?

Been a while since I played. I forget how to lock center something. Say a ship moving, you are always with the ship, no matter how fast it moves, or stay with a planet. I can't remember how to to this again.

You can use the 'L' key when the object is selected and I think you can double click to lock as well.
