Kaakao -> PBEM bug (8/19/2002 3:22:56 AM)

Okay, this is strange.

I'm playing scen 17 as the US in PBEM. I was assigning ASW patrol to one of my Catalina groups and set the target over my cv taskforce. Then something strange happened, when I clicked the taskforce, the turn switched over to Japanese player !! I could see every Japanese unit, give them new orders etc. Any ideas ? I have the save file if someone wants to take look on to it. We're using ver. 1.20.

Hi Kaakao,

How do you set the target for a PBY on ASW patrol?
I tried in a game against the AI and I don't get the option. Is PBEM different in this aspect?

Regards
BPRE

BPRE,

Your right about ASW patrol and assinging targets, it can't be done. I must have done something else with that PBY group. I remember that I was assigining it to do something (can't remember what) and gave the target over my cv taskforce (Yes I know PBY's can't do much to a taskforce except naval search and that's also something you can't assing the target). I also tried reconstruct the situation but failed to get the same thing happen. Anyway I talked about this with my opponent and I really did see his troops on the map and could give orders to them. Hopefully this was a really odd bug or something and won't happen again (ruined a nice PBEM game :().

Kaakao
