BoerWar -> Leftover issues -Revisited (10/26/2010 1:37:04 AM)

Marshall,

Our game has some issues lingering from Ver 1.07 that we were hoping would clear with Ver 1.08, but they have not. They are:

1. The Syrian corps (in Toulon) is not available for Turkish use. It shows as "Ottoman controlled" and isn't available to Turkey.
2. The Smyrna corps in the force pool can't be deployed. It never makes itself available for deployment.
3. Spain has been attempting alliances for 2 turns with Austria and Russia. They went to informal peace in Dec and have been unable to ally.

Could you please take a look and fix these issues? I emailed the host files to you.
Thanks,
Doug

Note, Turkey should not have any Smyrna corps acording to EIA, are you sure its not one of the Annatolia that somehow got renamed ?

There is a Smyrna feudal cav corps. It just won't deploy in our game.

Like i wrote, there is not supposed to be any Turkish corps from the Smyrna Province.

How many Anatolia Cav corps do you have ? Its supposed to be 1 inf and 2 cav corps for Anatolia.

Have you tried place it in Anatolia ?

Bresh

Bresh, I think you are thinking of the original board game. There is a Smyra Cavalry corps in this (matrix) version (and only one infantry corps for Anatolia). I just started a solo game to check, and I had no trouble placing it.

Boerwar, was this corps destroyed in a previous battle, and the problem is that does not have any factors left, and therefore can not be placed? Perhaps there was an enemy corps in the province during the levy turn that prevented from coming back to full strength or there is a problem with the levy step for this province.

This must have changed then, since back around v 1.02k i played Turkey, and i do remember it as i had 2 Anatollia Cav corps and 1 inf.

I do admit i havent checked recently, but if it had changed as part of the upgrades, maybe it could be that just the name was changed but not the placement restrictions ?

Bresh, you might have just solved this one.

It may have been destroyed, but two January turns have passed since that war ended. It apparently will not refill during the levy turns when other feudals work as advertised. This hasn't been a problem since Turkey was at peace, but it is at war now and needs the cav.

Marshall,

We still are having issues with these two corps. I sent you the file on Monday to see if you can try again. These problems really put our Turkish player at a disadvantage. We appreciate any help you can give.

1. The Syrian corps: It is currently located in Toulon. It belongs to the Ottoman Empire which is currently Turkish controlled. It is supposed to be on loan to Great Britain right now.

2. The Smyrna Feudal Cav corps: It still will not deploy out of the reinforcement pool. Please place it in the Smyrna port.

Thanks,
Doug

p.s. An in game editor that would allow the host to fix these problems would be great.

I know you are busy, but we've been on hold over a week now. Any chance you can work this in soon?

Thanks,
Doug
