If you like the pacific war and complexity, then I think Uncommon Valour was made for you. (or you were made for it). I consider myself to still be on the learning curve and new things are occuring to me all the time that change the way I do things or approach situations. It's very detailed, but the detail all has a reason and impact on your tactics, it isn't there just to make the game look good. In addition, we've had a series of patches that have addressed bugs, enhanced gameplay and improved historical accuracy on a regular basis. It was a good game to start with but the team behind it have demonstrated a real committment to making it even better. You can't really ask for much more. I've played a lot of wargames, but currently only play three titles of which UV is one (for what it's worth). Finally, if you like playing wargames, believe me when I tell you that you will really enjoy it the first time in PBEM you sink two of your opponents carriers without him so much as scratching yours.(Although when the reverse happens, it isn't quite as much fun). IronDuke P.S. To answer your question, yes it is worth the money.
