Yeah -- this will be of immediate use. The Indian army, though, seems to be lacking as usual.

The page has been updated September 2010 the last time, but it might be worth to check regularily as the author states: "I hope that it will be a work in progress as more and more information is gathered [...] I have changed the format from my previous site so that they accurately show the original documents. I am currently about a third of the way through this task. so the site will be updated on a regular basis for some time to come."

That's nice. Too bad there is no scale.

samba_liten -> RE: Historical Resources Online (7/10/2011 2:31:15 PM)

From here (the NARA guide to German situation maps).

"The usual map scale is 1:1,000,000, but a few are scale 1:300,000."

Panama -> RE: Historical Resources Online (7/10/2011 4:31:07 PM)

Will someone PLEASE sticky this. There is some very valuable information contained in this thread. Would be a shame to see it get buried.

Panama -> RE: Historical Resources Online (8/19/2011 12:06:46 AM)

https://www.onlinefilefolder.com/1f5rbhCFpA9b3a

That one?

It is suffering from changed circumstances. You simply need to visit this site. Somewhere thee you will find the owners (John, i believe) e-mail addy. You need to e-mail him,and he will send you a password for the server. If you are interested in a special time/ area, ask him, he might have something in his private stash!

Panama -> RE: Historical Resources Online (8/19/2011 6:50:03 PM)

I'm looking for sites pertaining to various countries armies & Navies in the 1920's.

lougarou3 -> RE: Historical Resources Online (8/26/2012 3:40:06 PM)

Hi All:
I am working on a project and I really need clear and legible Lage Ost maps for 1941. June through December. I have looked everywhere. I cannot get to the National Archives in the near future (don't have necessary equipment anyway) The Lage Ost links on this site don't work for me or are not the dates or clarity that I need. Many of the links to members are very old so I am not sure they are still available. Of course I am willing to pay.
Can anyone help or point me in the right direction?
Thanks,

[&o]

LLv34_Snefens -> RE: Historical Resources Online (8/26/2012 5:50:24 PM)

I can upload scans of the LageOst from last part of June 41. Quaility is reasonable, a little better than what you get from the Gutenberg link (and for each day). I'll get back to you with link.

For HG Center I have daily maps from June 21st to December 6th, with only few days inbetween missing. They are redrawings of the original LageOst maps for optimal quality. Problem with those is that they are in A3 format and I only have access to a scanner that can do A4. I'm not gonna scan all the pages twice, so if you can be a bit more specific I can maybe do the ones that you are most interested in.

Edit: The book I have is this one http://www.amazon.de/gp/customer-media/product-gallery/3764823380/ref=cm_ciu_pdp_images_1?ie=UTF8&index=1&isremote=0 .
Then you can get an idea about what the maps look like.
