Whats the overall verdict folks?
I'm eligible for the $25 discount on the Ultimate Edition due to having HCE and I was wondering what peoples opinion is of the Ultimate Edition pack? Good value or not needed? I would like to give H3 ANW a try as well, I used to have Harpoon 3 although didnt really get on with it, but HCE is brilliant on my netbook!

I like it. For similar reasons; ANW really is a decent part of Harpoon! If you love Harpoon I'd suggest getting it. If you just like it, I'd suggest waiting till some substantial patch comes along.
Personally, I bought it because it contains all the previous editions along with patches for the newest versions AND to support the devs in their Harpoony efforts.

Hi Chris,

ANW works fine on my netbook too, it was one reason I bought a netbook [;)]

Despite the discussion of prices and bugs, with ANW youīre getting so much content, that itīs worth buying.

There arenīt many games out (maybe TOAW, SP), offering so many hours playing time.

Good value if you only have CE; ongoing support for that plus ANW to try at a reasonable price.

TOAW 3 runs very well on a netbook, actually, as do the Harpoon games as has already been said. If you do (or would like to do) a lot of netbook wargaming you might want to check out Field of Glory if you don't already have it; that's a great netbook game as well.

Funny... I can't get Field of Glory running on a low-end laptop.  Something about graphics cards and drivers I guess.
Back to Harpoon, I found the deal to be alright for someone like me who owns HCE but not ANW.
It's a good introduction to the ANW series.

jomni, I thought about FOG too, but min requirements are 1280:800 (standard game). So it wonīt run on most netbooks.

Just so you know FoG doesnt require 1280x800. It runs on netbooks so if you have an issue post to tech support and we'll get you sorted out as soon as we can.

While hopefully not straying to far off topic, for the benefit of other netbook users other Matrix titles that run particularly well on mine (Acer Aspire One at 1024x600) are WW2:Time of Wrath and Highway to the Reich (not CotA or BftB). All the HPS titles are great too.
