Not specifically in terms of gift certificates - that's at the top of our wish list and it's actually possible with the new store, unlike the old one. I expect we will have this in place before next year's holiday sale.
In the meantime, if your wife logs in with your computer and account and makes a purchase, it will be as if you bought it. She could also purchase it herself, download the game and give you the order info as a gift. There's no requirement that you be the one to purchase the game in order to own it. Finally, if you order a boxed copy that's about the easiest thing to wrap up and give as a present.
