i just bought AtD; successfully installed, but get an error messge at 'Play Battle' stage It says Kharkov.exe has stopped working. Strangely there is no problem with Kharkov, which i have.

No problem with the installation; and no problem with Play Battle for Kharkov; but I get this error message when i do Play Battle for AtD.

how do i do a dxdiag?

What is the installation path of AtD2?
How are you starting Kharkov to run the scenario AtD2?
Can you play other scenarios of Kharkov?
When you reinstalled, did you delete the Kharkov folder after uninstalling?
When you reinstalled, did you run a registry cleaner after uninstalling?

3. I could play kharkov, kirovograd, konrad; but not AtD and Husky.

Does the same problem occur when double clicking a game turn?

You installed updates 1.10 and 1.11 before installing AtD2?
Did you re-download Kharkov, 1.10, 1.11 and AtD2 before installing?

1. Correct. It is C:\Matrix Games\Kharkov\Scenarios\across the dnepr

Have you tried uninstalling AtD2 and installing update 1.20 to see if Husky will work?

From where did you get your download of AtD2?

1. Tried downloading kharkov, updates 1.10,1.11,1.20. Still Husky doesn't work;could only play kharkov, kirovograd and konrad. Same error message: kharkov.exe has stopped working.

My AtD2 is from DR so I can not download from the store to see if there was a bad download of AtD2.
But update 1.20 has scenarios Husky, Kirovgrad and Konrad just like AtD2. I did not have any games running so I uninstalled Kharkov, downloaded update 1.20 and then reinstalled Kharkov, 1.10, 1.11, 1.20. Then checked to see if Husky would run, it did.
If you can not run Husky with just 1.10, 1.11 and 1.20 installed while I can run Husky with the same set up, then we know you are not getting bad downloads from the store. Since you are having problems in playing Husky with and without AtD2 installed, it looks like you have some installation problem, you might want to post the problem over at the Run5 forums to get the attention of Roger.

Hi Erasmus,

How to get a DirectX Diagnostic file:

1. click on "START" 2. click "run" 3. type in "dxdiag" and click "OK" 4. check through the tabs and perform all tests 5. click "Save all Information..." and save the text file to a location of your choice

We prefer that DxDiag files be posted as message attachments rather than pasted into the body of the post.

With that said, this is a very unusual issue. I would definitely try an uninstall/reinstall of Kharkov and ATD2 while making sure that all anti-virus/security programs are turned off. We've seen occasional issues where these programs will completely mess up the installation if they are on while the game is installing. In extreme cases it requires uninstalling the anti-virus program to test to see if it's causing the problem as some of them do not actually turn off despite what they say.

Have you tried installing Kharkov, 1.10, 1.11 and AtD2 on another computer?
