I have a question for WaW_Revised_U4_Beta.
Normally players just save the cost to make England survive from the following sea lion plan.
Does any player of west allies cost 120PP to preven Vithy in 1940? I'm interested how to defend France under GE sweep.

Not much of a WaW player myself, but i would imagine that its one of the less used action cards in the game.

Generally France is considered undefendable, and people tend to vacate it instead of fighting for it. If you are going to play "commitment to france" i would suggest that you do it because of the colonies that then donīt become vichy... Thats my 2 cents.

en, for now "Commitment to France" can let GE lost units and supply but increase their XP..... It truely stop JA to get supply from Vietnam and makebetween two fires from Allies. I use a fake anti-Landing operations as a bait Norway in May 1940 and ambush GE's BBII fleet. After I clean up GE's surface vessel, I should do "Commitment to France" and attack
Tobruk from both way. Now my Alexandria is lost......

I tried using it in a game recently & found it useful - it ties down the Germans for a couple more moves in France, which possibly gives them problems in the Balkans and Russia.  The defensive terrain around Marseilles is a bit better & the French troops are a bit more experienced during those 2 turns.

Also I am getting a few turns production from Marseilles - it's producing 2 Fighter 3's per turn which is handy - the French HQ is being supplied by Wavel who has heaps of supply and shipping.  And I'm shipping French troops and Staff out - although I may start shipping experienced armour in shortly...:)

I also landed in Norway to divert more troops, and fighter sweeps over France are proving quite effective as I have level 3 that has some experience, and he has only just gotten to level 2.

Plus I get Nth Africa and Syria as bases - Nth Africa will be useful to attack Libya from the West.

And the Chinese player has sent me his effusive thanks for depriving Japan of many thousands of supplies that will have to be sourced from his production plants instead.

So all in all it hasn't been a bad investment at all.  I don't know that I will get 120pp back from it....but it is certainly irritating the Axis!

West player must decide his way of gameplay early on. I belive that the best option for west is to withrow as much as passible from France to England and maybe to Africa. Same goes to Yugoslav and Greece soldiers. Thouse units may be upgraded later in the game and used as a raidning parties in Norway, France, Italy or somewere else. Also bulk of thouse soldiers will be a base when west decide to come back in Europe.
So the best way to defend the France is to withrov. And wst should play kard to prevent axis from forming a Wichy.
