i want to ask on which level it is the best to play. Currently i dither between 3 and 4. What level does the beta testers use?

I always play at 1. If you make a hundred or so attacks each turn, and have to watch a minute worth of combat replay for each, your turns become WAY too time consuming.

Yes that make sense. [:D] And do you turn off the combat report completely when the ai made his move?

I watch AI combat actions. When at detail level 1, it takes just as long to wait for the screen to load and to click exit than to just wait and watch it, in which case you can also learn something about what part of your defensive plan for that hex was flawed.
