Unfortunately for Germany in this game, Tweber knows that nation inside and out. I think we're stuck at RFT/GB until after new years, right ?

ernieschwitz -> RE: 9 PLAYER Global Domination (12/29/2010 4:40:05 AM)

Yeah, Jeffrey, as far as i know RTF is on vacation until after the new year...

Jeffrey H. -> RE: 9 PLAYER Global Domination (1/5/2011 2:09:14 AM)

Turn sent. China still trying to find a few good staffers to admin all the rifles they currently have.

TheArchduke -> RE: 9 PLAYER Global Domination (1/7/2011 8:48:55 AM)

Got turn yesterday, sent it on to Brazil today.

ernieschwitz -> RE: 9 PLAYER Global Domination (1/7/2011 9:11:00 AM)

Turn sent, nothing much to report, except that Buenos Aires, Assuncion and Montevideo are now part of Brazil :)

srndac -> RE: 9 PLAYER Global Domination (1/7/2011 1:19:34 PM)

Turkish people celebrated the annexation of Teheran today by kicking the dastardly Russians out of Belgrade.
Ottoman Sultan justified this act by calling upon the ancient alliance between Germany and Russia, which guaranteed the trade of good German sausages.
But, with the Russian bear now poised to eat all of the Turkey sausages, Ottoman Sultan had no choice but to involve himself in a struggle for these delicatessen, and hereby invites all sausage-loving people of the world to join this alliance, and save the endangered German knockwurst!

tweber -> RE: 9 PLAYER Global Domination (1/7/2011 7:07:33 PM)

Turn sent. Turkish DOW was a disappointment.  A few battles in Western Poland.

Jeffrey H. -> RE: 9 PLAYER Global Domination (1/9/2011 10:51:45 PM)

Turn sent. China muddles along.

TheArchduke -> RE: 9 PLAYER Global Domination (1/10/2011 5:57:07 AM)

France honours its alliance with Russia and dows Germany to relieve some pressure.

hatemf90 -> RE: 9 PLAYER Global Domination (1/10/2011 3:32:42 PM)

TheArchduke -> RE: 9 PLAYER Global Domination (1/11/2011 7:38:59 AM)

Try to keep it polite, thanks.

Hear, hear!

#$%& man, I could #$%& curse the #$%& Russian Torpedo boats for #$%& sinking of my #$%& Battleship in the recent #$% naval battle of #$%& Constantinople all #$%& day long - but I #$%& don't.
And why? Because I'm #$%& polite, that's #$%& why. You just don't say words like #$%& or #$%& on a forum. Ever. Period!
Even if you did score a #$%& Phyrric victory over some #$%& puny, little, #$%&, half-#$%& fleet.
Not ever. And I #$%& mean it! Period.

Ottoman #$%& Sultan
srndac

(and don't you #$%&# forget it!)

Oh, and:
P.S. I have got to stop watching those #$%& Billy Connoly's flicks ... seriously ...

Casus_Belli -> RE: 9 PLAYER Global Domination (1/14/2011 12:51:28 PM)

Thanks for a laugh! And since when is honour a prerequisite for diplomacy? As Jim Hacker said, it's about looking them in eye and stabbing them in the back. Quite a trick, really [8D].... need long arms...[8|]

hatemf90 -> RE: 9 PLAYER Global Domination (1/14/2011 6:32:11 PM)

not much of a trick, i knew it since the first turn i played, its the lying i dont like [:)]

especially that I was getting lectures on honor from him. as for the laughs, dont mention it [:D]

Jeffrey H. -> RE: 9 PLAYER Global Domination (1/14/2011 8:02:44 PM)

These are the reasons I HATE diplomatic games. Anyway, within the context of the current game, it's good to know who's doing what to who and how it's being done. The ingame notifications seem to be a bit off.

RufusTFirefly -> RE: 9 PLAYER Global Domination (1/16/2011 9:17:39 AM)

Turn 5, British Emipre

Britain has sent a DoW to France. Torpedo boats sent to Denmark in order to interrupt the Russian supply lines between Russian base in Sweden and troops in Denmark.

There is a small error in the game. Britain has a night fighter squad available in India. I could not resist to test it, but as it has only attack and defence values for air combat given I could be sure not to eliminate any ground forces of France - only recon was done. I will delete the unit next turn.

TheArchduke -> RE: 9 PLAYER Global Domination (1/16/2011 3:40:00 PM)

It is quite simple really. If you are paranoid about something it will happen.

1.) Strike a deal with me getting Brussels.
2.) Breaking it.
3.) I have to dow and take it.
4.) Peace me whilst worrying I attack, amass at my border
5.) Insult me per e-mail

6.) Act suprised you are attacked.

Yeah, well done.

wait, what?? when did i ever do that??

ernieschwitz -> RE: 9 PLAYER Global Domination (1/16/2011 5:24:28 PM)

Done is done. Most wars start out as misunderstandings and/or bad communications. I guess its no different here in this game. Besides, I think that the chances that there would be peace in europe for very long were quite slim. Who really cares who is honorable (unless you have to strike a deal with that someone).

If you guys want to mediate a peace, Brazil is willing to play the go-between... after all, i have nothing to lose listening to you guys... :)

Bombur -> RE: 9 PLAYER Global Domination (1/16/2011 9:35:30 PM)

Ok, I will check the file...

Jeffrey H. -> RE: 9 PLAYER Global Domination (1/17/2011 3:29:39 AM)

Turn sent to Germany. China gets closer to full staffing. Wishing for some better units.

TheArchduke -> RE: 9 PLAYER Global Domination (1/19/2011 10:52:00 AM)

Still no turn from Germany.

hatemf90 -> RE: 9 PLAYER Global Domination (1/19/2011 11:12:24 AM)

Yes, sorry exam week... next week I will do it

sorry for the delay.

tweber -> RE: 9 PLAYER Global Domination (1/19/2011 8:05:32 PM)

A week is a long time to wait and in a 9 player game, there is likely to always be one player who has other committments.  If you cannot find the 20 minutes or so to play your turn, could you let Turkey play your turn?

srndac -> RE: 9 PLAYER Global Domination (1/20/2011 3:24:34 PM)

And I object!

Your honour, not being intimately acquianted with my esteemed Ally's plans for the use of his equipment or resources, I would be running a severe risk of mounting a wrong action with the wrong things at the wrong time and in the wrong place (and that's not mentioning the wrong results) or - in the least case - ordering a wrong kind of dressing for the Pizza (anchovies anyone?)

The only way of making sure that doesn't happen is for my erstwhile ally to send me a good 34-page memo outlining his plans for the next couple of minutes - and with the time to write it down being about the same as playing the #$%& turn himself ... I propose that the Mother Russia wait for the hind-quarter-kicking (aka Turkey-shoot) a little while longer.

Yours truly:

Or take a 3 hour exam! [:D], youd make a decent lawyer [:'(]

Anyway when I said that the week was almost over, I should be able to play tomorrow.

I happen to like anchovies on pizza, on the side of course.

Sriracha sauce on pizza is excellent, especially cold, leftover, pizza from the fridge. mmmmm

Now, about the game....

Casus_Belli -> RE: 9 PLAYER Global Domination (1/21/2011 6:14:15 AM)

Sriracha? Sounds like some kind of Indian King.

TheArchduke -> RE: 9 PLAYER Global Domination (1/21/2011 12:14:48 PM)

You can not squeeze a 10 minute turn inside of one week? You got to be kidding me.
