Lord Malago -> Laborius Reconnaissance (12/17/2010 1:12:31 PM)

In the various scenario's I've played to-date a considerable time is spent by the A1 carrying out reconnaissance. EG. in a recent Case Blue playing as the Russian one move clocked 101 reconnaissance's missions taking over 15 minutes. I guess the average is around 10 minutes accompanied by the sound track taken from a clapped out Massey Ferguson Tractor. This is extremely boring and very time consuming - when all I want to do is get on with this exciting simulation. Could you kind look into compacting this function please ??.

Also while there is a very detailed manual, a few examples with explanations of how things work wouldn't have gone amiss, as an addendum to the manual, which comprehensive lacks this feature.

I've posted about the air recon taking a long time on the tester forum. It seems to be a new thing/issue as air recon didn't take nearly as long before as it does now. The AI is also flying recon missions over areas it has little reason to be interested in (on turn one of the 1941 campaign, the Soviet AI was very interested in the frozen Italian garrison in Yugoslavia), whilst its frontline recon still isn't too great.

Funny, because my AI turns are very quick - 2-3 minutes max in the '41 GC (either side) up to Turn 8.

The movement/combat phase doesn't take more than 5 minutes for me either when playing against the Soviet AI, but the air recon takes a few minutes.

We'll look into speeding this up if possible.

I put the mouse in the correct spot to click exit and click it and it goes very fast for me.  But, I suppose we don't really evenb need to see it?
