Lord Malago -> Patch 1.01 observations (12/18/2010 6:07:42 AM)

I upgraded to patch 1.01 late yesterday (there a time difference involved due to my location).

Positives:
the game loads much smoother and the opening graphics are now smooth running. The map also loads and runs smoother, and for the first time I really appreciate the beautiful work on the map. The black screens if they appear to be shorter in duration.
The space bar is now effective in shorting the reconnaissance cycle, however its still still tedious when having to carry this out over a 100 times, please get rid of this total waste of gaming time, it adds hours to a decent scenario, and a campaign game would be several days !.

Negatives:
There been a font change on the combat information & resolution box, this causes text to overlap around line 10 and it's therefore unreadable.

The values on the unit counters disappeared completely making the game unplayable. Several reloads and restarts I found the default setting changed in the preferences setup box. Once this was set up again combat or movement values were restored. However the font used has changed, and the values frequently overlap the unit counter which is highly unsatisfactory. Please change this back to the previous value. (if I was a brand new purchaser I would have been confused by this)

While on the subject of fonts, the information relating to date and turn are unreadable due to the tiny font, even when I use my reading glasses it's almost illegible.

Scrub what I said about the font on date and turn number it's is very legible now [:)] after the mods. Having played several more turns in the Case Blue Scenario, the Black Screen of death still appears with some regularity (sys info Win 7 32bit intel(r)Core(tm) 2cpu
5400@213Ghz ram 4gb) this is with all background programs unloaded.

Interesting. I haven't seen any of those issues. The game has always been crisp and clear on my XPS box. Win 7, 32 bit Intel, Dual Core, 2 CPU 8800 graphics, 4GB RAM

Helpless -> RE: Patch 1.01 observations (12/18/2010 8:39:17 AM)

There was no font change. As written in Custom Fonts thread, we support only 96dpi system fonts (Normal) and default fonts. Please make sure you have these set as described.
