jmalter -> RE: Wounded pilots (12/20/2010 10:40:04 PM)

i've looked thru WitPTrackerAE at my just-completed Marianas game. for a sample of 20 USN & USA pilots who were wounded, a WIA will immediately: decrease Experience by 5 to 9 points (mean 7.55) increase Fatigue by 5 to 53 points (mean 12.15) once wounded, the Fatigue decreases by one point per day, but the wound severity doesn't seem to affect the length of recovery time. One pilot w/ a 22-point fatigue increase lost his WIA status after 9 days, another with a +7 wound was back on ops after 20 days. There was also a B-24 pilot who actually flew a mission while still wounded! His fatigue went from 1 to 29 when he was wounded, then 3 days later his X-rays came back & his fatigue jumped another 10 points. After 10 more days, he flew a mission.
