I have almost all of Gary Grigsby games going back many years. Waited for The War in Russia along time. I see the box and can't believe what the soldier looks like. I guess he is suppposed to be German. After all the work to make the game as realistic as possible why this?

also, I like the picture as it is. It looks cool.

Whats wrong with the picture? that is a german soldier with the traditional national colors of Imperial Germany as insignia on the helmet.

lol are you kidding me? This guy actually posted something about the picture on the box? IMO that is one of the most annal things I've ever seen posted. Also, he has nothing to back up that it is in fact fake. If you have something to dispute, maybe prove your case a bit? [:-]

Well, what is the insignia on the helmet supposed to be? Here is what I have seen in photographs for many decades. I've removed the part that might be offensive to someone.

Could find this info.

The tricolour national shield was used by the Wehrmacht, Kriegsmarine and Luftwaffe on the right of the helmets.

In march 1940 was ordered to remove the shield to improve camouflage

But many helmets in use where not repainted.

So I guess the picture is right

Add me to the list, on the like side. I must admit my first impression was it looked a bit crisp, newish and non battle worn, but as an image I really liked it. I think it's the sort picture that would grab the eye sitting on a retail shelf and that's what its all about at the end of the day.

The label is 2 cm Flugabwehrkanone (Flak) 30 light anti-aircraft gun mounted on a Krupp Protz Kfz 69 [:)]
