mantrain -> BEST NOOB THREADS For Nuts and Bolts of first move set-up? (12/23/2010 1:34:06 AM)

I realize there are noob threads, but is there anything with substantial micro management detail, IE, is anyone aware of a post/thread wherein it is described in moderate detail including nuts and bolts of pretty much how all units were set-up, including HQ's, and support units, attachments, detachments, air/recon, etc. for first move, in any scenario, any side.
THANKS!

Wait for this guide to be completed.  We expect it to be quite good.

Well it's usable now on the forum to some extent, yes?

Actually it is very good information, just cannot view the images. Perhaps that is what the "wait" is all about?

If you are talking about the stickied one, his photobucket account ran out of bandwidth.

Here is a N00b question. I have read everything, looked at everything and even downloaded the boot camp tutoria(which is excellent!) But I have only ONE small question:

Pardon me, but what is the little white triangle with or with out the black fill in on the upper right hand corner of some of the unit counters?? Duh?? I totally get the lefthand side, which is pretty helpful, but I am missing the line that says "little white thingie in the upper right hand corner indicates XXXXXXXXXXXXX.

Can someone help?

Thanks

Little white thingie LOL

It's an indicator whether the unit has moved or not. White with a little black dot in it = not moved at all. Just a white triangle = moved, but not used up all of its movement points. No triangle = no movement points left. Easy see? [:)]

And, on a sidenote, if you have made an attack with just *one* unit in a stack of two, three couters... *then* you can see at the upper right corner of your screen, where the total amount of units is displayed, which one of these units has moved/ made an attack. Because one of these units will have a little white triangle without the black dot, whereas the others still might have all of their original movement points, thus displaying a little white dot with a black dot in it. You get used to it pretty fast.
This is important because you tend to use far away counters for an attack, therefore enabling the units in that hex to move their max. amount of MP's.

With the black fill it denotes the unit has not moved, w/o the fill denotes you have moved even if only partially. IIRC if you have combat it will also lose the fill as well though not sure on that one...

Thank you Josh and Lrfss!!!!

I am not sure how I missed it, but now that I see it it makes perfect sense and will speed up my decision making. [sm=Tank-fahr09.gif]
