Capt Cliff -> RE: Air Units - Their Combat Range? (12/28/2010 11:33:42 PM)

ORIGINAL: ComradeP Sometimes I'm wondering how many people with questions actually read what I post, as the same questions keep popping up. The range is the radius divided by 10 from the nearest air base to the target, sometimes with an extra hex added due to rounding. Ahem, why are we doing any math in our head with a computer game? It's simple ... click, or shift-rh-clic on the air unit or what ever and the units it can attack at=re highlighted!! Simple!! So divid by 10, what number and where?? Then I have to count on my screen from the air unit ... give me a break. Didn't WIR have a range display? Maybe not. So here we are supreme commanders having to use a pen and paper instead of having an flunky looie aid do it for me. Oh, and I am also getting a "bomber out of range" message when bombing a unit ... then I click the same unit again an I get an attack ... click again an "bomber out of range "... click again I get an attack ... what's it doing scrolling through the units one by one? This needs to be fixed! An please will the play testers refrain from jumping in and defending the game with some obsure work around. Thank you. Addendum: Ok ... to display available aircraft you select a base, the stagin base and then hover over a propose target and the number of aircraft available is displayed. But ... deplying and redeploying air bases requires the ranges of the aircraft.
