If you guys are playing the game without "show enemy hexs" your missing alot of info. I never play without it on. You really need to know which hexs you control during each move...

Jon,

I have also determined that of all the hot keys, this is the most valuable - it answers most of the encirclement questions, and is essential for planning moves.

Agreed.

While we're at it, I would add the "r" hotkey and the shading in light grey that it puts from a railhead to over the 10 hexes/25 MPs and dark grey over the 25 hexes/100 MPs is very useful too.

I play with the 'show contol hexes' on all the time as my default view. I only turn it off on max zoom out where it makes it a little difficult to view the map. I always have in WIR, TOAW, etc. Always.

Can't live with out this hot key, it tells you where enemy ZOC are even if you can't see the enemy unit on the map.  Great feature [8D]

I find that I leave 'control' set on most of the time, just seems natural. [:)]

Not really sure what you mean Carnage. Theres two FOW's. All "show enemy hexs" does is show controlled hexs. I do know that your ZOC's won't extend into hexes if theres another unit that you dont see. I figure its the unit recon that spots something there...
