Neal_MLC -> Guards brigade won' (12/27/2010 11:38:21 PM)

I have 3 guards armored brigades stacked together and the refuse to form a corps. I have formed several other corps, non-guards. They are in supply and are attached to a HQ. I can't find anythng in the manual either.

What's the date? Also, do you have the 20 APs necessary to form?

Also, make sure they all have some movement points. I think you can't convert if any of the brigades are at zero movement.

Helpless -> RE: Guards brigade won' (12/27/2010 11:44:33 PM)

What is the date in the game?

Flavio was faster :)

It could be Guards Tank Corps is not available yet, but it is still could be a code issue.

And I know I am likely speaking from Ignorance but I THOUGHT if you had 2 Guards and 1 Normal you could combine to make a guards Corp. So it might be better to save the other guards bde for later. although you should verify that before you try it!

ComradeP -> RE: Guards brigade won' (12/28/2010 12:43:22 AM)

That's correct, it's more economical to create a Guards unit from 2 Guards unit and 1 non-Guards unit.

Neal_MLC -> RE: Guards brigade won' (12/28/2010 1:03:27 AM)

It is may 18, 1942 and I have at least 400AP. I haven't seen any date restriction other that the april 42 restriction on armor.

Flaviusx -> RE: Guards brigade won' (12/28/2010 1:17:47 AM)

Pavel, just checked this with the 43 scenario: stacking 3 guards tank brigades will convert to a guards tank corps. So it's not a code issue.

Date shouldn't be an issue here either if it's in May 42.

What is the movement status of these 3 brigades? Any of them zeroed out?

Neal_MLC -> RE: Guards brigade won' (12/28/2010 1:29:55 AM)

Nope, all have at least 11MP

Flaviusx -> RE: Guards brigade won' (12/28/2010 1:37:25 AM)

Hmmm. We're going to need a save here. I personally can't duplicate this bug.

Neal_MLC -> RE: Guards brigade won' (12/28/2010 2:21:39 AM)

NP, I'll get it out tonight. Who do I send it to?

Neal_MLC -> RE: Guards brigade won' (12/28/2010 2:22:51 AM)

FYI, two guards and a non-guard works just fine

Joel Billings -> RE: Guards brigade won' (12/28/2010 3:54:02 AM)

Since I will be gone for the next 5 days, Pavel might want you to send it directly to him. Please PM him (Helpless) to see if he wants you to send it directly to him, or send it to 2by3@2by3games.com and it will eventually get looked at.

Flaviusx -> RE: Guards brigade won' (12/28/2010 3:57:56 AM)

Neal, in the meantime, as was mentioned above, it really is most efficient to mix guards with non guards on a 2 to 1 basis. Never go with 3 guards if you can possibly avoid it, and this is true for any of corps upgrades, not just tank corps.

But you should be able to convert with 3 guards.

Neal_MLC -> RE: Guards brigade won' (12/28/2010 5:15:42 AM)

Great, thanks for the advice.
