I bought Napoleonic Wars and I like the game style and the mechanics. What I find though is that the larger battles, Waterloo & Borodino, are just overwhelming. Instead I've played all the Quatre Bras variants a bunch of times and really like that level of complexity. Even something like Ligny, although it's short, still has a ton of units to move & shoot every turn.

Does Civil War have more in the way of the smaller scenarios? I don't mind ones that are a small segment of a larger battle (like in Waterloo & NIR) but I do prefer something that is a self-contained battle like Quatre Bras.

The Civil War Battles offer a lot of battles that are more manageable than Waterloo and especially Borodino. I found even Gettysburg to be less daunting...

In addition, many of the games (can't remember if all of them) have additional battles; some lead up to the main battle and some completely unrelated such as Wilson Creek.

Thanks for the replies, I'll probably pick it up then. It'll be neat to use different armies as well.
