Frug -> Fresh meat (9/5/2002 1:18:33 PM)

G'day,

I am just about jumping out of my skin waiting for UV to arrive in the post. I ordered it from Vortigern in Aus (near Lismore, NSW i think).

Reading the posts made puchasing UV a pretty easy decision....

Hats off to the UV team for doing so much to engender the love of the gaming community!

Drongo -> (9/5/2002 1:52:22 PM)

G'day mate 'n' welcome (and other colonialisms).

Where abouts are you located?

Oh, and grab a copy of the flag if you want (so we can all know who to defend against those nasty foreign posters).:p

Raverdave -> (9/5/2002 3:27:30 PM)

" so up the little red rooster, and more piss!

More beer more beer more beermorebeer, more beer more beer more beeeerrrrr"

Luskan -> Another Aussie Post (9/5/2002 4:05:22 PM)

Welcome aboard. The aussies on this forum are nice and pretty polite until they play you in PBEM, and then they turn bloody nasty (AA is giving me a run for my money as we speak).

Drongo -> (9/5/2002 5:06:50 PM)

You know, I just noticed that it looks like we're following each other round like a herd of randy wombats (glad I'm no longer at the front).:eek: :eek: :eek:

I wonder why so many of us turned up when we saw the title "Fresh Meat"??????

Raverdave -> (9/5/2002 7:22:07 PM)

Well I don't know about the rest of you guys but I hate going slops, so as soon as I saw "Fresh Meat" I was in ! *sigh* looks like Drongo beat me to it, he was here first.

Hey Luskan....whotf is AA??

Fred98 -> (9/5/2002 8:02:15 PM)

So how do I add an avatar?

"Available avatars 1-0 of 0"

Matrix has 0 avatars available ???

loader6 -> (9/5/2002 8:04:30 PM)

And the say American's don't play well with other countries! ;)

Luskan -> (9/5/2002 8:21:59 PM)

AA is Admiral Arctic - he's a Brisbane guy who has a nasty habit of moving faster than I expect - he is always a day earlier than I can handle.

Thats right.....Matrix has zip. What you have to do is to copy mine (right click and copy) and then in your "user cp" upload it to the matrix server.

Is he on this board? I don't re-call the nick (then again thats not a surprise......age is dulling the brain).

Admiral_Arctic -> (9/5/2002 11:21:50 PM)

I'm here.

I read some of the forumns but really don't have time to add to other peoples good ideas.

But I have worked out why the Akagi didn't have much CAP in the battle it got hit. Both Shokaku and Akagi had 80% CAP and Escort orders. But the Shokaku had 83 planes on board because I transfered Shoho's Zeors onto Shokaku and at the time of transfer- only 68 planes were on the carrier. I thought any replacements would have been restricted to the carrier's limit so I didn't check. But the Shokaku received too many planes. During the battle- none of Shokaku's aeroplanes even took off as their fatigue stayed less than 10. (And if you remember- only 18 Zeros went up- which is about 80% of the 24 Zeros on Akagi.)
So if the carrier is overloaded none of the planes fly.

By playing someone on the same time zone makes it much easier to do many turns in a day.

I hope I can match your skills.

Frug -> (9/6/2002 5:36:44 AM)

Hey Fellas,

I got it this morning in the post so give me some time to 'train' then I'll be happy for you all give me lessons in what not to do.

It only took Vortigern 3 days to get it to me which I reckon ain't bad....

Now, for my next trick I will print out the instructions at work!!

Frug -> (9/6/2002 5:55:18 AM)

HELP,

My network administrator is preventing me print out the instructions (which I assume only become accessable when you have installed) is anyone able to send me the instructions for me to print out at work?

Ross Moorhouse -> (9/6/2002 8:36:26 AM)

You go to your user CP and then select "Edit Options" then down the bottom of the page is "Change Avartar" then "You can enter an URL of your avatar:" which if you want the Aussie flag that some are using here just right click on that flag and copy the URL from there and apst it into the "
You can enter an URL of your avatar:"

Frug -> (9/6/2002 8:50:10 AM)

I have received no email from you as yet. BUT 1000 thank yous to you for helping me be dodgy.

Having no printer at home is a situation I may need to change one day..but for game manuals that threaten to be large, work printer is best.

Ross Moorhouse -> (9/6/2002 9:23:58 AM)

Its 4 mbs so i hope that your work sever dosnt have a heart attack and send the IT drones out to kill you.. ;)

rich91a -> IT Drones have feelings too (9/6/2002 8:34:36 PM)

:mad:

Look out the IT Drones are coming to get you.:eek:

Hey I'm a UV addict, Australian and an IT Lovely Person who just wants to help you print your manual, so have every right to say, re: the Drones comment, rack off Moorhouse, go pick on some cleaners.;)

BTW: Ripper game!

IChristie -> Rename this thread (9/6/2002 9:18:11 PM)

Jeez, you guys should rename this thread:

"Caution: Randy Wombat Crossing"

I haven't seen so many Aussie flags since the 2000 Olympics!

Drongo -> (9/6/2002 9:39:06 PM)

The worst thing about it is there's no shielas but somehow we're still managing to increase our numbers :eek:

IChristie -> (9/6/2002 10:35:09 PM)

I thought most Aussies were grown in vitro in unwashed beer glasses anyways :D
