ORIGINAL: robjoh 1. Is the any way to reduce fort levels other than by attacking by ground forces? E.g. by using bomb unit air mode? 2. Can you airlift fuel? If so, how? Was that done in the war? 3. Playing as axis, do you generelly change the air doctrine settings during the game (except for on the first turn)? 4. When attaching support units directly to divisions, does that affect the movement points for that unit? If not, what's the drawback for doing so? 5. I guess when playing the GC you would need to place garrison units in major USSR cities to manage partisan uprisings. What kind of units do you use for that mundane task and how would you attach them to a HQ (since they would probably be far behind the front)? 6. Is there a penalty for assigning air units from the national reserve? If not, why not assign all the reserves all the time? Thanks in advance!! 3) Many players change all the air doctrine settings to 30%. Some change them to 10% for the first move only then change them back. If you forget you will be sorry... 4) Movement points are not affected by attached units in any way. 5) Sec units are used as mentioned, usually attached to higher HQs since they have a longer range. In the GC you will eventually not have enough as the Germans, so you will have to use other units. Some use units of minor countries since they are weaker. Henri
